The CQC register what you do within your Adult Social Care service, known as a regulated activity. This means that the focus is on the quality and safety of your service being delivered wherever you provide it and will dictate how the CQC will monitor and inspect your services going forward.

Adult Social Care services generally offer personal care, whether in a person’s own home, in a purpose-built accommodation or in supported living accommodation. Your registration application will focus on how and where you offer care as well as your ability to run or manage the service.
